A house Tiny Township was destroyed after a fire broke out southwest of Penetanguishene on Friday evening.

Emergency crews responded to the fire on County Road 6 just north of Concession Road 14 at around 5:30 p.m.

When crews arrived the house’s lone occupant was standing in the driveway unharmed.

Tiny Township Fire Chief Tony Mintoff tells CTV News around 20 firefighters from three fire stations were called to put out the fire.

The house sustained $225,000 worth of damage.

Mintoff says the cause of the fire was accidental.
