Two people were injured when two dump trucks collided around noon near Kettleby today.

The collision on Highway 9 at Weston road left a lot of debris to be cleaned up. There was also a large diesel spill of about 300 litres.

That was contained and is being cleaned up.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries and the stretch of Highway 9 was closed for several hours while crews moved the trucks and cleaned up.

Police say one of the trucks failed to stop at a stop sign and they are still investigating why.

Meanwhile, another dump truck accident shut down the Highway 400 off-ramp to Highway 89 for several hours this morning.

Provincial police say this dump truck flipped over on the ramp as it exited the 400 around 8 a.m. The driver of the truck wasn’t injured.

Crews spent several hours clearing up that scene and the ramp re-opened shortly before noon.
