The heavy rain this week has left a number of beaches in our area posted for the weekend.
Beaches in Innisfil, Tiny Township, Tay Township, Midland, Penetanguishene and Clearview Township were posted on Friday.
Couchiching Beach in Orillia was posted earlier this week but was lifted on Friday and is clear for swimming this weekend.
An advisory is a warning to swimmers but it is not a beach closure. During an advisory, a beach is posted with warning signs when the water contains levels of bacteria that indicate there may be an increased risk of developing minor skin, eye, ear, nose and throat infections and stomach disorders.
