A Barrie couple is dreaming big after winning $100,000 on Encore last month.
Norman Sharp and Patricia Richardson matched six of seven numbers during the Ontario 49 draw on April 20.
“Norm checked the numbers on our ticket online,” Richardson said in a statement. “He asked me to come take a look. Initially I looked at the Ontario 49 selection, but Norm told me to check the Encore numbers. In that moment, with tears in our eyes, we both realized we were big winners!”
The winning ticket was purchased at the Esso on Bayfield Street in Barrie.
The couple is engaged and has six children, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
“I always say good things happen to good people and having Norm in my life has been the best thing that could ever happen,"
The couple plans to get married next year.
“Pat is my biggest win, but this $100,000 isn’t bad either.”
