The community of Bolton was the scene of a large outpouring of grief Friday as family and friends came together to remember two murder victims.

Separate funerals were held at Holy Family Church for two young men who stabbed to death in Wasaga Beach over the long weekend.

Francesco Molinaro, 18, and Erick Tello Arias, 23 were stabbed to death in two separate incidents less than a kilometer apart in the popular tourist area.

Molinaro was fatally stabbed on Saturday May 21 around 10:30 p.m. in front of the Pizza Pizza on Mosley Street St. Michael's Catholic School student and is being remembered as a loving son and loyal friend.

“He was very energetic and he loves his friends,” said Phil Damico Molinaro’s former teacher.

Erick Tello Arias  was stabbed on May 23 around 3:30 a.m. on Main Street. He was an aspiring hip hop artist and remembered as loving son, brother and friend.

There's no word on suspects in either death and investigators say they are not linking the two incidents.

“We are following up leads as they come into us – the investigation is very much open and very much active and it’s progressing,” said Det. Const. Tom Garland.

Police continue to appeal to the public for information in both cases and encourage anyone with information  to contact police or Crimestoppers.
