Four people have been arrested after police executed search warrants at two Barrie apartments on Saturday morning.

Members of the South Simcoe Police Service and the Barrie police street crimes unit executed the two warrants at apartments above a restaurant on Dunlop Street. The search was part of an investigation into the sale of cocaine in Barrie.

Police say a quantity of drugs was found, as well as a replica handgun and switchblade.

Investigators have charged four people with various offences, including trafficking cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Three of the accused have been released on conditions, while the fourth was held on bail.
