Five people have been injured after a two car crash in Essa Township on Thursday afternoon.
It happened on County Road 56 near the intersection of the 25th Sideroad near Utopia just after the noon hour.
Police say two people were critically injured; one received serious injuries and two other suffered minor injuries.
An Ornge ambulance was called to the scene but it could not take off because of mechanical problems. Ornge tells CTV News patient care was not compromised and all patients were taken away by land ambulance.
County Road 56 was closed for several hours while police investigated.
