Firefighters managed to quickly contain a fire at home in Clearview Township on Thursday afternoon.
Residents in a house in Avening, near Creemore, noticed the smoke just after 2 p.m. and ran across the street to call 911.
Crews from three departments managed to get flames under control and limit the damage to the chimney and one room in the home.
No one was injured in the fire and the cause is still under investigation.
