Barrie Fall Fishing Festival
Date:  Friday, September 22, 2017 to Sunday October 1, 2017 – Starting at 7AM
Location: Barrie – Sea Cadet Building at the foot of Bayfield Street
Details: The Barrie Fall Fishing Festival is a catch & release Perch fishing tournament on beautiful Kempenfelt Bay. This event encourages people of all ages to enjoy the fishing, fall weather, and the spectacular fall colours of Kempenfelt bay, fishing from a boat or from the shore. 56 tagged perch in the bay! A prize pool in excess of $40,000 including a $10,000 draw and daily merchandise draws.

Pumpkin Festival and Haunted Adventures

Ring’s Barrie Wedding Expo

Creemore Springs Oktoberfest
Date:  Saturday September 23, 2017 from Noon – 6:00pm
Location: Blue Mountain Village 108 Jozo WeiderBlvd
Details: Drink, dance and be German! Prost! It’s time to roll out the barrels, slip on your lederhosen and get set for family fun and an Oompa-pa good time with fantastic activities and outdoor entertainment. The Creemore Springs Biergarten in the Events Plaza is the center of the action with Bavarian-inspired food and drink served up by Copper Blues, live music, traditional dancers, fun and games, and much more. It starts with the ceremonial tapping of the keg and just keeps rolling from there with the 3-piece Beer Barrel Band, guaranteed to get you in the spirit.

Collingwood Art Crawl

Location: Collingwood – Various locations throughout Downtown Collingwood
Details: A free, self-guided art walk featuring over 200 artists at more than 65 venues with live music, samplings of food and beverage, and incredible art all in downtown Collingwood.  The idea isn't to just stand and watch; it's an interactive experience offering a varied example of arts and music ranging from body painting, graffiti artistry, glass blowing and of course music.  Lots of music! Bring an appetite for more than just art: A sampling of food and beverages will be offered at each location!

Georgian Studio Tour and Sale

Location: Various locations on the south shore of Lake Simcoe
Details: Discover Georgina based artists, joined by guest artists from many parts of Ontario on this self-guided Studio Tour.  There will be a great variety of artists and artisans participating, featuring creations in various media: pottery, paintings (oil, acrylics, and watercolour), photography, woodworking, wood carving, stained glass, jewellery, quilting, sculpture, eco-art, weaving, and metalwork. You will have the opportunity to meet each artist and learn about the process behind the artwork.  It's a wonderful local art adventure!

Innisfil Fall Fair

Details: Fun for the whole family. Bring a friend. Let's make this another fun day.
Last year's Fair was so successful, we have decided to hold one again with even more exciting activities. There will be a spaghetti eating contest, a butter tart bake off, Carnival games, a kid's play area and games, a bouncy castle, craft, book and bake tables, and so much more. Details are still being planned so stay tuned.

39th Annual Muskoka Autumn Studio Tour

The artists of Canada's original studio tour invite you to explore Muskoka's dramatic autumn landscape and to see where the past year's inspiration has taken us. The remarkable realm of colour, form, texture, and design created by the artists of the Muskoka Autumn Studio Tour is echoed in the splendour of the region at this magnificent time of year. The brilliant foliage and sparkling waters highlight the pleasure of seeking out the studios tucked in back roads and overlooking scenic vistas. 18 artists will be featured on this year's tour.

Muskoka Model Railroad Layout Tour
Date: Sunday September 24, 2017 from 10:00AM to 6:00PM
Location: Various locations throughout Muskoka and Simcoe County
Details: The area is alive with some terrific model railroads, both clubs and personal layouts. This tour features more than 20 spectacular layouts of model railroads in scales N to G. Guide book will be available for a self-driving tour to each location. For each admission / pass, guests will receive three draw tickets for door prices. Proceeds of this event are donated to the Salvation Army Food Banks.

Free Kids’ Fishing Day
Date: Saturday September 23, 2017 from 9:00AM to Noon
Location: Port of Orillia Fishing Pier
Details:  Hosted by the Orillia Fish and Game Conservation Club for the past 16 years.
Children up to the age of 15 with a parent or guardian present are invited to
join in on a fun day of fishing!  Free Admission, Lunch Provided, Bait Supplied, Help with Lines & Tackle, Bring your own rod and reel, or borrow one!

Pumpkinfest at Hewitt’s Farm

Don't forget to check out the Farm Market - fresh Ontario seasonal fruits and vegetables, breads and baking, homemade jams and preserves, local Honey and Hewitt’s Maple Syrup and many delicious seasonal baked goodies, such as pumpkin pies, pumpkin cheesecakes and apple spice loaves

North of 89 Studio Tour
Date: September 23 - 24, 2017 from 10:00AM to 5:00PM
Location: Various locations north of Hwy 89
Details: 13 artists in 4 studios are participating in this self-guided studio tour of the hills in Dufferin County, north of Highway 89. The art studios are within minutes of each other. There is a great variety of artwork to view and buy, including: paintings (watercolour, oil), dyed silk clothing, knitwear (made of alpaca, silk, cashmere), woodwork, fabric art, pottery, stoneware, metalwork, sculptures, metalwork, jewellery, and stoneware.
