30th Annual Midhurst Arts and Crafts Home Tour 2017
Date: Saturday, November 25 and Sunday, November 26
Location: Midhurst – Various locations in Midhurst and Snow Valley
Details: The Artists and Artisans of Midhurst invite you to browse through their homes and studios and meet their guest artists. The tour celebrates its 30th year of holiday shopping for original designs & art work. Find paintings and artwork, pottery and candles, jewellery and clothing sweet treats and so much more. The tour is free and visits homes across Midhurst and Snow Valley.
Borden Christmas Craft Show for United Way

Details: This year’s Borden Christmas Craft Sale, a Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign event, is proud to be supporting Big Brother Big Sisters of Simcoe and District. There will be over 140 vendors displaying baked goods, woodworking, jewelry, handmade baby items, knitted/quilted items, all your favourite direct sales such as Scentsy, Pampered Chef, JR Watkins, Discovery Toys, as well as Christmas décor and more! There will also be a photographer offering mini Christmas photo sessions so bring the kids in their holiday best! There will also be a BBQ lunch available!
Cookstown Light Up Night
Date: Saturday, November 25 – 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Location: Cookstown – Downtown along Queen Street
Details: A magical evening of family fun and community spirit. Starts with a Tree Lighting ceremony on Queen Street in Cookstown followed by caroling and all the shops are open late. Bring the kids to see Santa Claus as he will be there before his appearance in the Light Up Night parade. The parade will have an assortment of floats all lit up and will proceed down Queen Street. Come and get into the holiday spirit with the Light Up Night.
7th Annual Christmas Markets

Details: The Meaford Farmers' Market presents the 7th Annual Christmas Markets which will feature unique gifts and one of kind treasures, delicious edibles and beautiful hand-made local arts and crafts. There will be 30+ vendors with products such as: artisanal soaps & natural personal-care products, cards, books, photography, hand-made clothing, jewelry, stained glass, hand-crafted wood products, preserves, fudge, chocolates, baked goods, honey & maple syrup products, apples, delicious prepared foods & much more!

Details: Now in its 18th year, Sainte-Marie’s “First Light” is a must-see event with a great line-up of family activities and performers, all amidst the spectacular glow of over 5,000 candles. The magic begins when visitors approach the candlelit historic site, as a beautiful amber glow illuminates the famous 17th-century mission. Visitors can stroll the candlelit paths which lead to a variety of fun family activities. The cookhouse is filled with the sights and smells of delicious baked goods and cookie samples available for tasting. Historic blacksmithing will also be demonstrated, and a Nativity crèche will be on display in the stables near the Farmer’s Dwelling.

Winter Craft Show
Date: Friday, November 24 and Saturday, November 25
Location: Parry Sound – Bobby Orr Community Centre – 17 Mary Street
Details: The Winter Craft Show features original designs and handmade gifts from local artists and craftspeople. From toys, to jewellery, ceramics, clothing and art, this is the perfect time to pick up an excellent handcrafted gift. The Winter Craft Show is presented by the Parry Sound Arts & Crafts Association.
Date: Sunday, November 26 – 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
Location: Wasaga Beach – RecPlex – 1724 Mosley Street
Details: FUNderland will feature face painting, inflatables, body zorbs, photobooth, puppet show, build a birdhouse, dance workshops, theatre demos, crafts, games, and more. Wasaga Beach Youth Centre will be selling popcorn, cotton candy and beverages for a small fee. All proceeds will be put back into programming for the Youth Centre. Breakfast with Santa ($) in the Lions Den from 9am-12pm, with live entertainment.
