If you plan to spend time outside this weekend you will want to stay hydrated and dress for warm weather.

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for most of the region due to a warm and humid air-mass that has settled over southern Ontario. Afternoon humidex values will be in the mid to upper thirties.

The statement has been issued for:

·         Innisfil - New Tecumseth - Angus

·         Orangeville - Grand Valley - Southern Dufferin County

·         Newmarket - Georgina - Northern York Region

·         Uxbridge - Beaverton - Northern Durham Region

·         Vaughan – Richmond Hill - Markham

Environment Canada is warning these conditions pose a health risk if you are not used to the heat, and recommends drinking plenty of cool liquids and spending a few hours in a cold place every day.
