Provincial police have released a surveillance image of a vehicle they say fled the scene of a collision involving a cyclist in New Tecumseth.

The alleged hit and run happened on Mitchell Avenue on Tuesday, just after 9 a.m. The OPP say officers arrived to find a cyclist suffering from a broken leg.

According to the OPP, a white sedan – believed to be either a Honda or Hyundai – left the scene immediately after the collision.

The male driver is described as having dark coloured skin. No other description was provided.

On Thursday, the OPP released an image of the suspect car.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
