A man from the United Kingdom has been charged after a vehicle was clocked going more than 70 km/h over the speed limit on Highway 400.

Provincial police say an officer clocked a Dodge Durango travelling at 174 km/h along a stretch of the highway in Tay Township on Sunday.

The vehicle was stopped and the driver, a 38-year-old man from England, U.K., has been charged with stunt driving and speeding.

The accused will appear in court in December.
