Environment Canada says a downburst is responsible for storm damage in Seguin Township.

The downburst uprooted trees, damaging homes and properties over the weekend. Weather officials say wind speeds would have hit 90 km/h, which is similar to what an EF-0 tornado produces.

Oastler Lake Provincial Park suffered so much damage it closed and campers were asked to leave. Hydro was also knocked out to hundreds of people.

Similar damage was in parts of Muskoka, which includes the Dorset area. Damage at the Lions Camp forced officials to close it for the week.

Environment Canada says damage there is consistent with a downburst, but is still investigating.
