Caledon O-P-P are crediting D-N-A analysis for charges being laid against a man wanted for a break-in that took place in 2002.

Police say bolt cutters and a hacksaw were left at the scene of the break-in, and officers found blood stains on the handle of the hacksaw.

When D-N-A samples were collected, they resulted in a positive match the police D-N-A data bank, but the suspect was found to be living in another province.

Officers discovered last month that the suspect was back in Ontario and in custody on other convictions, which led to a charge of break and enter over 5-thousand dollars being laid.
