A ceremony to dedicate plaques to those who have served in the military was held at the Memorial Park in Huntsville Saturday.

Four new plaques, honouring the Canadian Army, the Royal Canadian Air Force, the Royal Canadaian Navy, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, were mounted as veterans and Huntsville residents looked on.

“This will be here forever,” said Veteran Gordon Jennings. “It's a tribute to all the troops and all the people who served in the armed forces.”

The ceremony also paid tribute to the two soldiers killed in attacks over the past week.

The Huntsville branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will begin their Remembrance day services on November 2nd.
