The Town of Aurora has been inundated with calls about coyote sightings.

Town officials say the number of calls about coyotes has spiked recently, something that isn’t uncommon for this time of year.

Animal sightings of this kind usually happen in the spring, but the town says people should be cautious.

Coyotes normally avoid human contact. However, if the animal shows no fear or aggressively approaches people, they should inform Ontario’s Ministry of Natural Resources.
