Crews are still cleaning up in parts of Parry Sound District and Muskoka from an intense rain storm that swept through the region on Sunday.

About 50 feet of Highway 632 near Rosseau remains washed out, and local public works crews say there are washouts on dozens of other roads as well.

Rob Marshall, Seguin Township’s road foreman, has never seen anything this bad.

“The 632 washed out…it just took the road out. I've never seen anything like it,” he said.

Seguin Township officials are still getting calls about damaged areas.

“I've had calls of about 40 different roads,” said Seguin Township Administrator Cindy Simon. “Of course multiple times on some of the roads.”

Even hydro poles are unstable in some areas such as along Lake St. Joeseph Road South.

The flooding in Big East River in Huntsville is receding, which means the worst may be over there.

“The water is about 16 inches higher than normal levels at this point in time,” said Huntsville Mayor Claude Doughty.

There is still work to be done, but the roads should be clear soon as long as the rain continues to hold off.
