A fire that started in the bedroom of a home in Innisfil on Saturday night was caused by careless smoking, says the fire chief.
The fire broke out around 10:00 p.m. just off Innisfil Beach Road in Alcona.
Crews were able to contain the fire to just the one bedroom.
A man was inside the home at the time was taken to hospital with minor smoke inhalation
Innisfil Fire Chief Jon Pegg told CTV News on Sunday that the fire was caused by careless smoking and damage is estimated at $40,000.
