Four non-profit agencies were out of their offices Wednesday after a car crashed into a building in Barrie.

It happened shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday when a car went off the road and crashed into building located on Anne Street, South.

The vehicle stuck the building with such force that it came to rest inside the building.

According to police, the 39-year-old driver suffered a medical issue which caused the car to go off the road.  He was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

The building houses offices for Deaf Access of Simcoe Muskoka, The Alzheimer’s Society, The CNIB and Catholic Family Services.

The offices were for Deaf Access was most heavily damaged.

A spokesperson told CTV News they are working with engineers and property managers to determine if and when they can reopen.

The other offices were not as heavily damaged, but staff was kept out of the building Wednesday while it was inspected.
