A man rescued from the Magnetawan River in Burk’s Falls has died in hospital.
The man dove off a dock below the Burk’s Falls dam on Tuesday afternoon and didn’t resurface. Emergency crews were called to the area and pulled the man out of about 10 feet of water.
The 21-year-old Burk’s Falls man was taken to hospital, but on Wednesday he succumbed to his injuries.
An autopsy will be conducted in the coming days to determine a cause of death.
