Fire officials say a two-acre brush fire in Springwater Township on Saturday night was likely caused by a fire pit.
The fire broke out just inside Springwater’s border with Barrie.
Fire crews had to use ATV’s to get to the fire in the bush and extinguish it.
Craig Williams with Springwater Fire tells CTV News they located what appeared to be the remnants of a fire pit in the forest and the wind probably rekindled the fire and caused it to spread.
