Four suspects wanted in a break-in collided with a police vehicle while trying to escape, investigators say.
The break-and-enter happened on Dock Road in Barrie on Tuesday afternoon. Responding officers located the suspect vehicle, which was stolen from Oakville.
A brief pursuit took place and continued onto the 25th Sideroad in Essa Township. The pursuit was then called off because of heavy traffic in the area.
Investigators say a Barrie police tactical vehicle was then hit along Essa Road by the suspects. Their vehicle then continued on Highway 90 and wound up in a ditch on the 11th Line of Essa.
Three of the suspects were found fleeing on foot. The fourth suspect is still at large.
