A teenager has been rushed to hospital in critical condition after being trapped under a pick-up truck in Bradford Friday afternoon.

South Simcoe police say the 14-year-old boy was struck and dragged by a pick-up truck and then pinned under it, while riding his bike through the intersection of Bingham and Centre Streets shortly before 2 p.m.

Police say the teen wasn’t wearing a helmet and was airlifted to Toronto’s Sick Children’s Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the pick-up truck, a 60-year-old Newmarket man remained at the scene and police say he is co-operating with the investigation.
