A 42-year-old Bradford man is facing several charges after police say he got into an argument with his girlfriend and wouldn’t let her leave his house.

South Simcoe Police says it started at a home in Bradford Saturday morning when a man and woman had an argument and he wouldn’t let her leave.

Police say the woman called a friend to come over and pick her up and when he arrived the man came out the house with a knife and slashed his tire.

Police were called and the man was arrested.

He faces a number of charges, including forcible confinement and assault with a weapon.

He was released but will be back in court in June.
