A 23-year-old Barrie man will stand trial on two counts of first degree murder.
Mark Dobson is charged in the deaths of 32-year-old Mary Hepburn of Barrie, and a 52-year-old woman from Cold Lake, Alta.
The bodies of both women were discovered inside a room at the Travelodge hotel on Bayfield Street in May last year.
Autopsies showed both women died from knife wounds to the neck. Dobson remains in custody. A pre-trial hearing has been set for Sept. 12.
