A Barrie man has been identified as the deceased in a fatal crash in Vaughan on Friday.
A garbage truck and a tractor trailer collided just after 12:30 p.m. on Regional Road 99, also known as the Highway 427 extension.
The driver of the garbage truck, a 55-year-old man from Barrie, was transported to hospital but has since succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the tractor trailer was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The road was closed for several hours while police investigated.
