A Barrie man was charged with stunt driving after police say he was clocked going 58 km/h over the speed limit in Innisfil.

According to South Simcoe Police, an officer was patrolling in the area of Big Bay Point Road and 25 Sideroad when they stopped a car going 118 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.

The driver was charged with Speeding, Stunt Driving, No Validation, and Fail To Have Proof Of Insurance. His vehicle has been impounded for seven days.

The accused will face the charges in the Ontario Court of Justicein in November.
