A day after defeating the North Bay Battalion in game one of their second round series, the Barrie Colts started building towards their future at the Ontario Hockey League draft.

The Colts selected Don Mills Flyers left-winger Jacob Tortora with the 19th overall pick on Saturday. The American born player had 68 points in 52 games with the Flyers this season.

In round three, the Colts picked up center Jason Willms 43rd overall and Newmarket right-winger Aidan Brown with the 46th overall pick. The Colts didn’t have a second or fourth round pick.

In the fifth round, the Colts bolstered their defence, drafting defenceman Joey Keane with the 87th overall pick and goaltender Christian Propp at 98th.

Elsewhere in the league, The Sudbury Wolves selected Don Mills Flyers right-winger David Levin with the first overall pick. He had 80 points in 55 games this season.

Centre Gabe Vilardi of the Canadian International Hockey Academy went second overall to the Windsor Spitfires. The Flint Firebirds used the third pick to select centre Ryan McLeod of the Toronto Marlboros.

The Mississauga Steelheads picked Toronto Red Wings right-winger Owen Tippett fourth overall and the Peterborough Petes took Mississauga Rebels centre Zack Gallant at No. 5.
