Barrie Colts forward Brendan Lemieux has signed a three-year entry level contract with the Winnipeg Jets, the club announced on Friday.

The two-way contract has an average value of $1.125 million.

Lemieux was acquired by the Jets in a trade on February 11th with Buffalo that saw Tyler Myers and Drew Stafford head north and Zach Bogosian and Evander Kane go to the Sabres.

Lemieux had 41 goals and 60 points in 57 games with the Barrie Colts last season, good for third place on the club.
