A dispute over who can go where on Balm Beach in Tiny Township is no closer to being resolved by the township council.

During a meeting on Monday, a council committee recommended no further action be taken for now, saying it'll be up to property owners and beachgoers to sort out disputes.

The committee says installing signs would be a huge undertaking requiring more investigation as there are hundreds of properties and access points.

At a meeting earlier this month, council promised to review suggestions and consider measures to spell out which areas are public and private.

Some property owners who own land to the water's edge have been demanding council take action to prevent beachgoers from using private property, following a series of vandalism and trespassing cases this summer.

The issue won't be back before full council until Nov. 12.
