Ontario's new attorney general says he wants to take steps to modernize the province's court system.

Yasir Naqvi says he's prioritizing the way courts use technology, including expanding the use of video conferencing and filing small claims online.

Changing the system is a big job that Naqvi says will happen in small steps.

Naqvi took over the attorney general position from Madeleine Meilleur after a cabinet shuffle in June.
