An Aurora man has been charged with attempted murder in connection to a double-stabbing over the weekend.

The 34-year-old was arrested by the OPP in the Coburg area and was charged on Monday with two counts of attempted murder and one count of break and enter.

The man is accused of stabbing two 16-year-old boys on Saturday morning at a home on Briardale Place. According to York Regional Police, the man broke into the residence and a struggle ensued.

Both youths were taken to hospital with life threatening injuries, where they remain in stable condition.

He was scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
