Another extension issued as union, Canada Post continue to bargain

Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers are still at the bargaining table after the latest job action deadline passed.

CUP-W and the Crown corporation agreed to another 24-hour extension requested by a federal mediator, who has been working with the two sides since Friday.

Canada Post has been bargaining with its employees for more than nine months - key issues being pension changes for new employees and pay scales for rural postal workers.
