As of early this morning, 39 centimetres of snow had fallen in south Barrie from the latest major winter storm.

Environment Canada adds 31 cm had fallen in north Barrie.

Of the numbers released by the weather agency, Barrie’s were the highest. Orillia came close with 29 cm of snow by this morning. Waterloo had 17 cm and Windsor had 15 cm. Those numbers are as of 7 a.m. this morning.

More snow is expected to fall as the region is largely under a blizzard warning. That blizzard warning also comes with a wind chill warning with temperatures that could reach -35 or -40.

Snowfall totals may be updated later today or tonight.
