A barn fire north of Chatsworth lit up the night sky on Saturday, destroying $500,000 worth of milking equipment.
Crews were called to the barn around 8:00 p.m. along Highway 6 & 10, between Chatsworth and Owen Sound.
Police closed the road for a short period for emergency crews but was reopened a short time later.
The fire is not considered suspicious and no animals were harmed.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office has been notified.
